What are my options to set up a secure login?
You have various login options:
-
Passkey authentication
Passkeys are a password replacement that validate your identity using touch ID, facial recognition, a device password or a PIN number.
-
itsme
Use the itsme application to log in securely. Bear in mind that only one account can be linked to your itsme.
-
Multi-factor authentication (MFA)
Two-step verification adds an extra protection layer to your account. In addition to your password you now also need a verification number to log in. This code is generated by an authenticator app on your smartphone. Acerta recommends using the Microsoft Authenticator application.
-
Username and password
As a user, you can also log in with a username (which is a 6-digit ON number or your e-mail address) and password.
What is Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)?
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a protection method that requires you to provide two or more forms of identification in order to gain access to the Acerta Mobile App. In addition to a password you can enable extra authentication methods to step up security against unauthorised access.
If you have an Acerta account, we recommend enabling MFA via the login options in your settings.
What is a login with passkey?
Passkeys are a password replacement that validate your identity using other checks you may already have set up on your device: a fingerprint, facial recognition, a PIN number or another password.
Can I also log in using my eID?
No, signing in via eID is not possible in the mobile app.
I'm still unable to log in to the mobile app. Can I contact Acerta for help?
Contact Acerta via asd.applications@acerta.be or by phone at 016 24 67 30 if you continue to experience login issues.
